Developing Season I

Developing NyLeah Ford Season I has been a fun process.  The development of this collection began last summer when a few people in my circle began asking me to make them the items that I wear in my day to day life.  2020 provided me with a lot more time to work on my dream of developing a ready-to-wear collection.  That time felt like such a luxury!  It allowed me to slow down and enjoy the process of developing a collection I truly love.  This collection features items that I have made for myself and that I genuinely enjoy wearing across seasons.  I hope you enjoy wearing the collection as well!  It was important to use fabrics made from natural fibers like cotton, linen, and bamboo.  These fabrics are breathable and great for warm weather but also great for layering in cooler seasons.  They are also environmentally friendly.

I sourced beautiful fabrics that are the perfect weight and rich in color.  One of my favorite items in the collection is the Tanika Tunic.  I’ve made this tunic for friends and family of all ages, and they love it!  It easily compliments their current wardrobe, and it can be worn in spring, summer, fall, and winter!  It is currently offered in a beautiful marigold color.
